Habitat House. Form or join a group tohelp Habitat for Humanity in Whatcom County build the VanDyken home at 2832 Haxton Way. Many Saturdays and Wednesdays are available. Join a Transitional Housing Board. Bridges of Hope, a grandchild of One to One Lynden, has open positions on its governing board. This is a group of volunteers with a heart for newly released incarcerated men that provides a home as transitional housing. There will be a community barbecue near the home on July 25 that provides a great opportunity to see this non-profit ministry at work. Needs include persons to participate in Bible study, mentor residents one-on-one, and keep the house up and running in order. To volunteer or for more information, call Joe Strong at (360) 540-7474.

Help Project Hope with remodeling! Project Hope has a few construction projects to better facilitate its operational activities in the New Hope Center. Call Jim at the Hope Office at 354-4673 for more information.

Hand out socks to the Homeless. Help Envision Mission hand out socks to the homelessin Bellingham on Tuesday evenings. Small groups, youth groups, and individuals are encouraged to join the street ministry at the Flat Iron Woods at 5:15 p.m. to hand out socks donated by Cloud 9 Sports.

Join a Christian motorcyclist group. The local Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) chapter, Evening Star Riders, invites riders for breakfast the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. at the United Church of Ferndale on the corner of Washington Street and Third Avenue.
